Average annual pay: $65,000-$75,000
$2,000 Sign-On/Schedule Bonus
Monday-Friday schedule (Weekends OFF!)
Home 2-3 nights per week
Reefer trailer deliveries to grocery warehouses

Compensation Details

• Pay structure: Combination of mileage, stop pay, and hourly pay provided for detention time, local deliveries, and other non-driving duties
• Additional pay for extra pickups/deliveries
• Safety and performance bonuses available
• Consistent weekly routes with dependable miles

• Safely operate a truck (26,000+ GVW) for regional deliveries
• Transport Mel-O-Cream products to grocery warehouses and distributors
• Pick up and backhaul ingredients or materials used in donut production when assigned
• Load and unload products, verify counts, and complete delivery paperwork
• Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs)
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections
• Keep your assigned truck clean and well-maintained
• Provide courteous, professional customer service at every stop
• Weekly route schedules will be posted about a week in advance, although they may be subject to change
• Expect to be away from home for approximately 2 nights a week, with occasional Sunday departures

• Valid Illinois CDL-A license
• 2+ years of driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Basic knowledge of FMCSA regulations (Sec. 177 & 383-396)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must pass a DOT physical and drug test
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and communication skills
• Drivers are expected to maintain a clean, professional appearance and good personal hygiene while representing Mel-O-Cream
• Ability to use email and basic navigation tools
