 Do
Operate a CDL B rear-load garbage truck on assigned residential collection routes. 
Pull and position rolling carts for collection using a semi-automated lift system 
Operate hydraulic controls to safely empty carts and containers into the truck 
Exit the truck frequently to collect additional waste, recycling and bulk items 
Ride safely on the rear step between collection points as required 
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections 
Use in-truck technology (tablet) for route management and communication 
Haul collected materials to disposal and recycling facilities 
Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations 
Interact professionally with customers and the public

 Looking For
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required 
Good driving record 
Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment and random drug screen (including marijuana) 
Minimum one year of driving experience preferred 
Waste industry or rear-load collection experience preferred 
Safety Sensitive Information 
This position is designated safety-sensitive. The associate will operate a vehicle or other equipment on behalf of Granger Waste Services as an essential function of their job and must comply with all applicable safety and drug and alcohol policies.
