Non-CDL Driver - Heavy Touch - $24.50 Per Hour - Albany, NY
About the Position
We are currently seeking a Non-CDL Driver for our client in Albany, NY. This position requires 1 year of experience and a valid Medical Card. The driver will be responsible for delivering wine and spirits, providing last mile and white glove service.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $24.50 per hour, average $1050 per week
- Overtime: After 40 hours
- Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 8AM to around 6:30PM
Job Details
- Route Type: Local
- Freight: Wine and Spirits
- Equipment: Box Truck
- Handling: Heavy Touch Freight (9-12 cases per stop, 40-50 lbs per case)
- Stops: Approximately 20 stops per route
- Delivery Area: Upstate NY (Canadian border to Poughkeepsie; No NYC)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver wine and spirits to various locations
- Unload freight using a hand cart
- Occasionally unload full skids using a pallet jack
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of products
Minimum Requirements
- 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid DOT Medical Card required
