TransForce is seeking a skilled Intermodal Trailer Technician to support operations in Council Bluffs, IA. We welcome both experienced technicians and entry-level candidates — VETERAN FRIENDLY. Your hands-on mechanical training translates directly to this role.

Key Responsibilities

<ul>
	<li>Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service on intermodal trailers
	<li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues
	<li>Repair or replace brakes, suspension systems, tires, and other trailer components
	<li>Complete welding and light fabrication work as needed
	<li>Ensure all equipment meets DOT safety and compliance standards
	<li>Accurately document maintenance and repair work
	<li>Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient operations
</ul>

Preferred Experience

<ul>
	<li>Hands-on experience as a trailer technician (intermodal or refrigerated equipment strongly preferred)
	<li>Diesel mechanic background
	<li>Familiarity with CAT or Cummins engines
	<li>Experience using diagnostic tools and interpreting schematics/manuals
	<li>Welding and fabrication skills
</ul>

Certifications & Credentials (Plus, Not Required)

<ul>
	<li>EPA 608 Certification (Universal or Type II – High Pressure Refrigeration Equipment)
	<li>ASE Certification in Heavy Truck and/or Trailer Systems
</ul>

Schedule & Pay

<ul>
	<li>Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional Saturdays as needed)
	<li>Start Time: 8:00 AM
	<li>Shifts: 8–11 hours depending on workload
</ul>

Pay Range:

<ul>
	<li>Experienced Technicians: $30–$35/hour (based on experience)
	<li>Entry-Level Technicians: $22–$23/hour
</ul>

Requirements

<ul>
	<li>High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
	<li>Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
	<li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
	<li>Valid driver&apos;s license (CDL preferred but not required)
	<li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
	<li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
</ul>
