Class A CDL Flatbed Driver (56330)

Job Purpose:
- This physically demanding role requires securing loads with straps/chains, using tarps for protection, and performing rigorous pre-trip inspections. The Class A CDL Flatbed Driver will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers over 26,001 lbs to transport, secure, and deliver specialized, often heavy or oversized freight.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate tractor-trailers over 26,001 lbs to transport, secure, and deliver specialized freight.
- Conduct thorough DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and flatbed trailer.
- Secure loads with straps/chains and use tarps for protection.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate, legible logs, including driving hours, mileage, and DVIRs.
- Ensure compliance with a clean driving record and passing a DOT drug screen/background check.
- Demonstrate capability to lift, climb, and manage heavy straps and tarps.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver.
- Proven experience in operating tractor-trailers over 26,001 lbs for transporting specialized, heavy, or oversized freight.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Capability to lift, climb, and manage heavy straps and tarps.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Thorough understanding of DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Proficiency in conducting DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and flatbed trailer.
