Local CDL-A Intermodal Night Driver | Home Everyday
This dedicated night position offers container hauling out of Chicago rail yards with guaranteed daily home time, mileage bonuses, and steady regional loops.

This dedicated night position offers container hauling out of Chicago rail yards with guaranteed daily home time, mileage bonuses, and steady regional loops.
Pay & Financial Incentives
- Weekly Earnings: $1,200 - $1,400 gross average per week
- Base Mileage Rate: Starts at $0.62 CPM
- Per-Load Bonus: Additional $20.00 for each load handled
- Night Shift Incentive: +$0.06 per mile bonus (Monday through Friday, 7 PM to 4 AM)
- Weekend Shift Incentive: +$0.12 per mile bonus (Friday 7 PM through Monday 4 AM)
- Primary Routes: Transporting containers from Chicago rail terminals on regional loops throughout IL, WI, MI, IA, and IN.
- Freight & Handling: Primarily heavy drop-and-hook work during night hours, with infrequent live loading or unloading.
- Traffic & Driving: Typical Chicago route patterns planned to ensure you finish every shift at home.
- Home Time: 100% Home Daily, every shift ends at home.
- Shift Type: Dedicated Night Operations.
- Work Schedule: Weekend shifts are standard to maintain continuous container movement.
- Holidays: Scheduled for holidays only if they align with your routine work days.
- Valid Class A CDL alongside an active DOT Medical Card (no endorsements necessary).
- Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 25 miles of the Chicago terminal (Zip: 60608).
- Driving Experience (Solo Drivers Only):
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer driving within the past 3 years, OR
- Minimum 12 months within the past 5 years.
- (Trainee drivers and team configurations are not eligible for this account).
- Safety & Background: Clear driving history, stable job record, and mandatory drug screening.
