Looking for a CDL driving position that keeps you close to home and lets you work a consistent daytime schedule?
Blessings of Hope is looking for a dependable CDL-A Jockey Driver to support our warehouse operations by moving trailers safely and efficiently throughout our yard. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys driving without spending days on the road.
Responsibilities:
- Jump in where needed to keep operations moving
- Keep trailers, trucks, and pallet jacks organized and clearly staged so dock operations flow smoothly and safely
- Check batteries, report mechanical issues, top off fluids when assigned, and assist with small fixes (lights, glad hands, dock plates, etc.)
- Shuttle trailers between yard spots, docks, and operational areas
- Back trailers into tight dock and yard spaces with precision
- Coordinate trailer placements with warehouse and dispatch
- Verify trailer numbers and paperwork upon movement
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and organization safety policies
- Support special projects during peak volume or emergencies
- Maintain clean tractor interior and yard safety practices
Requirements:
- Able to speak and read English
- Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol test
- Able to complete a Post Offer / Pre-Employment Physical Test
- Able to complete background check
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS rules, and basic tractor/trailer safety
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Able to work in outdoor weather conditions year-round
- Must be able to lift/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
- Able to safely operate both manual and automatic transmissions
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7AM to 5PM
