Full Description

Hiring Area: Greensboro, NC 27401

Freight lanes operating within this fleet support temperature-controlled truckload and multi-stop refrigerated shipments across established routes primarily east of Interstate 35. Dispatch coordination focuses on keeping professional drivers moving with consistent freight while maintaining predictable routing through major distribution corridors.

This opportunity is designed for experienced CDL-A truck drivers who prefer steady freight operations, modern equipment, and national lane coverage without being forced into every market.

Weekly Pay: $1,250 to $1,740

Home Time
Drivers operating east of the Mississippi are typically home every 14 days. Drivers running west of the Mississippi generally receive home time every 21 days depending on freight flow and route assignments.

Freight Network

Refrigerated truckload and multi-stop temperature-controlled shipments move through Midwest and eastern freight corridors serving multiple customer locations. Most runs remain east of I-35, although occasional nationwide assignments may occur as part of the broader freight network.

Drivers operating in this fleet are not required to run New York City or the five boroughs.

Fleet Highlights
  • Temperature-controlled truckload and multi-stop refrigerated freight
  • Average weekly mileage around 2,087 miles
  • Top drivers frequently reach higher mileage depending on dispatch flow
  • Per-diem program and weekly pay guarantee available
  • Consistent freight supporting nationwide coverage

Equipment

Professional CDL-A truck drivers operate late-model tractors built for comfort on longer runs. The fleet primarily includes 2021-2024 Peterbilt 579 Ultraloft tractors along with select Kenworth T680 units.

All assigned trucks include APUs, refrigerators, and power inverters to support extended trips. Equipment operates with outward-facing safety cameras only and is governed at 70 mph for both pedal and cruise operation. Most tractors in the fleet operate with PACCAR engines.

Driver Benefits

Drivers receive access to major medical coverage, retirement savings through a 401(k), and paid vacation time. Per-diem options and a weekly pay guarantee help provide earnings consistency for CDL-A truck drivers operating in this fleet.

Orientation

Orientation takes place in De Pere, Wisconsin and lasts three days beginning Mondays or Wednesdays. Transportation, hotel accommodations, and lunch are provided. Drivers receive $125 per day during orientation while completing ELD and Geotab training, a road test, and onboarding sessions with operational departments.
