Full Description

CDL-A Truck Driver

Weekly Pay: $1,150 to $1,400
Home Time: Weekly 34-hour reset with the option to extend home time when needed
Freight: Dry van freight with a mix of drop-and-hook and live unload shipments
Domicile: Charlotte, NC 28205

This fleet supports experienced CDL-A truck drivers seeking consistent freight lanes and dependable weekly home time. Regional operations are structured around established shipping corridors east of I-35, allowing drivers to move freight through high-volume distribution networks while maintaining predictable schedules.

Freight primarily includes dry goods moving between warehouses, distribution centers, and customer facilities across the eastern United States. Many loads operate as drop-and-hook shipments, helping CDL-A drivers minimize downtime between stops and maintain steady movement throughout the week. Live unload deliveries are coordinated through dispatch scheduling so drivers have clear route planning and consistent trip flow.

Freight Operations

Drivers typically run between 1,800 and 2,400 miles per week depending on freight demand and routing schedules. Dispatch teams coordinate loads throughout the regional freight network to maintain reliable miles and efficient delivery timing for professional CDL-A truck drivers operating within the fleet.

Operating lanes are primarily east of I-35, connecting major distribution hubs and customer freight networks. This structured routing helps create consistent miles while supporting predictable home time for drivers.

Flexible truck parking is available during home time. Drivers may park equipment at home when approved or utilize designated company locations when off duty.

Equipment

Drivers operate modern dry van equipment designed for regional and long-haul freight operations. Fleet maintenance teams support drivers through scheduled service intervals to help ensure trucks and trailers remain dependable throughout extended routes.

Reliable equipment allows CDL-A truck drivers to focus on safe operation and efficient freight delivery while traveling established lanes within the network.

Benefits

Albany Trucking provides a benefits package designed to support drivers and their families. Coverage options include health insurance, a 401K retirement plan, and life insurance programs. Drivers may also participate in rider and pet policies, and the company provides a fuel card program to assist with operational needs on the road.

Driver Qualifications

Applicants should hold a valid Class A CDL and have at least twelve months of tractor-trailer experience within the past three years. Drivers should also have experience operating across multiple states and maintain a current DOT medical card.
