Full Description

Albany Trucking
Birmingham, AL 35201

Professional CDL-A truck drivers operating in this fleet run temperature-controlled truckload and multi-stop refrigerated freight across established lanes primarily east of Interstate 35. Dispatch planning is built to keep freight moving consistently while supporting drivers who prefer steady routes and predictable scheduling.

This position is designed for experienced CDL-A truck drivers who want organized freight operations, modern equipment, and the opportunity to run national lanes without being forced into every market.

Job Type
Regional / National Refrigerated CDL-A Truck Driver

Weekly Pay: $1,250 to $1,740

Schedule
Home time every 14 days for drivers operating east of the Mississippi. Drivers who operate west of the Mississippi typically receive home time every 21 days depending on freight flow.

Freight
Temperature-controlled truckload and multi-stop LTL-style refrigerated shipments operate across Midwest and eastern freight corridors. While most routes stay east of I-35, occasional runs may extend into other areas of the national freight network.

Drivers operating in this fleet are not required to run New York City or the five boroughs, allowing Class A CDL drivers to avoid those areas if preferred.

Equipment operates with outward-facing safety cameras only and is governed at 70 mph for both cruise and pedal operation. Most tractors in this fleet operate with PACCAR engines.

Albany Trucking provides major medical coverage, retirement savings through a 401(k), and paid vacation time. Drivers also receive access to a per-diem program and a weekly pay guarantee designed to provide earnings stability for CDL-A truck drivers operating in this fleet.

Orientation takes place in De Pere, Wisconsin and lasts three days beginning Mondays or Wednesdays. Transportation, hotel accommodations, and lunch are provided, and drivers receive $125 per day during orientation while completing ELD and Geotab training, a road test, and onboarding sessions with operational departments.
