Altom Transport, a family-owned leader in bulk liquid transportation, is seeking dedicated and professional CDL A Tanker Drivers for Local, Regional, and Over-the-Road (OTR) positions. Job Description:
As a CDL A Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting liquid bulk materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely and secure deliveries based on your preferred driving route-Local, Regional, or Over the Road
This position operates out of our St. Gabriel and Sulphur terminals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquid bulk materials to and from customer locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload tanker trucks using hoses or pumps while following all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a steady workload by meeting mileage or hour requirements to contribute to the overall success of the operation.
- 24/7 Operation - Willingness to be available 24/7 when needed.
- Flexible time off based on scheduling and operational needs.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
- At least 23 years of age.
- Compliance with all DOT requirements.
- A clean driving record demonstrating a commitment to safety and excellence.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading tanker trucks.
