Be home most night and make a difference in your community! We are looking for Class A CDL Drivers that have not only a great work ethic but also have outstanding customer service skills. This position provides a unique opportunity for those looking to combine their love of driving and their love for serving for a great cause! Our CDL Drivers operate local runs as well as OTR within the Southeastern states with most weekends home.
Primary Job Duties
- To safely and efficiently operate commercial motor vehicles in urban, suburban, and rural areas, and confined spaces, in all weather conditions to transport freight.
- Comply with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations
- Take and verify dispatch instructions
- Safe operation of equipment and on-time movement of shipments
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations
- Most freight is drop and hook
- Will require early morning hours and late evening hours
- Must abide by DOT rules and regulations for hours of service
- Will be required to aid in unloading/loading process at store when needed, most actions will be drop and hook
- Drop and hook trailer swaps at donations trailer sites will be required
- Drop and hook trailer swaps at store retail sites will be required
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Experience operating similar type equipment minimum 3 years of experience
- No major accidents in the last 3 years
- No DUI/DWI in the last 3 years
- Must submit to pre-employment drug screen, background check, and driver record check
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current DOT Physical
