Full Description
Location: Mobile, AL
Pay: $2,000 to $2,100 per week
Home Time: Home every weekend with a 34-hour reset
Freight: Stainless-steel flatbed freight with planned backhauls
• Dedicated customer freight originating near Calvert, Alabama
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers
• 2025 Extreme flatbed trailers with lightweight drop tarps
• Minimum six months of flatbed experience required
Experienced Flatbed Drivers
Specialized steel hauling and strong weekly compensation make this position a fit for experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers who are comfortable securing and tarping steel freight. The account pays $2,000 to $2,100 per week while providing home time every weekend for a 34-hour reset.
Drivers operate assigned equipment and haul dedicated stainless-steel freight supported by available backhauls that help maintain productive freight movement throughout the week.
How the Freight Moves
Outbound loads begin near Calvert, Alabama, with drivers hauling smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets. After delivery, available backhaul loads help move the truck toward the next outbound freight rather than routinely returning empty.
• Approximately 75% of loads require tarping
• Freight is primarily live loaded and live unloaded
• Tarp compensation is included in the account's compensation program
The six-foot drop tarps used on this account are lighter than traditional full-size flatbed tarps.
Assigned Equipment
Drivers receive an assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 paired with a 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailer. The driver remains with the same trailer throughout the trip.
Each trailer comes equipped for the account's steel freight:
• 12 winches and straps
• Two lightweight six-foot drop tarps
• 48-foot flatbed configuration
Home Time & Driver Pay
The schedule is designed around returning drivers home every weekend while maintaining steady freight movement during the week.
• $2,000 to $2,100 per week
• Home every weekend for a 34-hour reset
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers
Getting Started
Orientation takes place Monday through Thursday and pays $100 per day. Hotel accommodations are provided, along with meals and travel arrangements.
After orientation, drivers move into their assigned equipment and begin running the dedicated operation.
