Professional CDL-A drivers operating in this fleet run established regional lanes that support consistent miles and organized dispatch scheduling. Freight moves primarily through automotive supply routes east of I-35, allowing drivers to maintain steady weekly mileage while avoiding long delays at shipping facilities. This opportunity is designed for experienced CDL-A truck drivers who prefer predictable freight flow and reliable operational support.
Freight and Routing
Freight assignments consist mainly of automotive loads with a high percentage of drop-and-hook freight. Dispatch planning focuses on keeping drivers moving and minimizing downtime between loads. Average haul length is approximately 500 miles, which supports consistent movement through the freight network without requiring extremely long runs.
Drivers in this operation typically run between 2,500 and 3,000 miles per week depending on freight flow and dispatch scheduling. Routes are coordinated to maintain dependable weekly miles while keeping drivers within established regional lanes.
Equipment
Drivers are assigned well-maintained late-model tractors, primarily Peterbilt 579 units along with other comparable equipment within the fleet. Trucks are equipped with practical features designed for driver comfort during extended runs.
Equipment features include onboard inverters and refrigerators, allowing drivers to maintain comfort and convenience while on the road. Many assignments allow drivers to take their tractor home during scheduled time off, depending on location and operational planning.
Benefits and Driver Support
Drivers operating in this fleet have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support long-term career stability. Medical, dental, and vision coverage are available along with life insurance options and participation in a 401(k) retirement program.
Additional compensation opportunities may include detention pay, layover pay, and safety incentive programs depending on operational conditions. Dispatch teams work closely with drivers to maintain clear communication and organized load planning throughout the week.
Driver Qualifications
Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical certification. Drivers should have at least 3 months of tractor-trailer experience within the last 12 months, or 1 year of experience within the past 3 years operating equipment with a 40-foot or longer trailer.
