Commercial Transport & Project Logistics: Class A CDL Driver Wanted in Vancouver!

Are you an experienced, safety-first commercial driver looking for premium hourly pay, quality modern equipment, and a schedule that keeps you primarily local and home most nights? American Workforce Group has partnered with an industry-leading commercial transport, project logistics, and freight carrier in Vancouver, WA to hire a dependable, full-time Class A CDL Driver.

ENJOY DIVERSE RUNS WITHOUT THE OVER-THE-ROAD GRIND! This position is primarily local, keeping you home almost every evening. Regional runs with overnights are limited-generally only a couple of times per month depending on customer and project schedules. You will operate quality new company equipment, hauling 53' dry vans, 48' flatbeds, and occasional straight trucks to deliver high-value customer machinery, time-sensitive freight, and specialized jobsite equipment. If you bring verifiable Class A seat time, pride in clean load securement, and a spotless safety record, let's get you in the cab!

Description for Class A CDL Driver:

Safely operate modern commercial tractor-trailers, including 53' dry vans, 48' flatbeds, and occasional straight trucks.
Execute primarily local pickups and regional deliveries, supporting time-sensitive freight schedules and dedicated project logistics.
Safely secure, chain, strap, tarp, and transport high-value customer equipment and specialized machinery.
Perform and document comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle mechanical inspections.
Maintain clean Electronic Logging Device (ELD) hours-of-service records, Bills of Lading (BOLs), delivery paperwork, and proof-of-delivery receipts.
Communicate professionally with dispatchers, warehouse staff, project managers, and jobsite receiving personnel.
Assist with safe loading, unloading, and staging of cargo as project parameters dictate.
Maintain clean, well-serviced, and professional company equipment at all times.
Strictly comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA), Washington State DOT rules, and customer facility safety guidelines.

Details for Class A CDL Driver:

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 / hour (Scaling based on verifiable Class A experience, flatbed securement skills, and driving history / DOE).
Schedule & Home Time: Full-Time. Primarily Local routes-Home most nights! Regional runs with overnight trips are rare (generally limited to a couple of times per month).
Daily Hours: Start times and schedules may fluctuate based on time-sensitive customer project delivery windows; flexibility is required.
Equipment: Drive Quality NEW Company Equipment (well-maintained tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dry vans).
Location: Vancouver, WA dispatch hub (servicing SW Washington and regional Pacific Northwest jobsites).
Position Type: Full-Time, long-term career opportunity.

Requirements for Class A CDL Driver:

Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL) with a current, valid DOT Medical Card.
Verifiable Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of verifiable commercial Class A tractor-trailer driving experience (minimum 2 years required for commercial insurance underwriting guidelines).
Safety & Clearinghouse: Clean, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a clear, fully compliant FMCSA Clearinghouse record.
Cargo Skills: Flatbed, strapping, chaining, and load-securement experience is a strong PLUS.
Experience with jobsite deliveries, specialized machinery, or high-value freight is preferred.
Comfort with a hands-on hybrid role involving driving, customer deliveries, and active cargo assistance.
Schedule flexibility to accommodate changing project timelines and occasional regional overnight trips.
Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt dispatch punctuality, and professional appearance.
