What You'll Do

Our Semi-skilled Labor employees are a vital part of the crew and perform locates of underground facilities, set pedestals, and more. Overall, crews are responsible for trenching/plowing communication cable, fiber optic cable, electric cable, gas line, and conduit. If you like, we will teach you skills such as locating and operating heavy equipment.

What You'll Bring

• Commitment to Safety: A strong dedication to maintaining a safe environment-both physically and mentally-for yourself, your colleagues, and customers
• Valid driver's license
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Experience with underground utility construction
• Self-motivated with ability to following oral and written instruction
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with a wide variety of personalities
• Ability to travel extended periods, as needed
• Ability to work assigned scheduled (typically 7AM-7PM M-F)
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least two of the following skills:
• Setting peds and poles
• Mounting NIDS
• Installation of fiber optic drop cables
• Installation of mainline cables
• Waterproofing techniques
• Mounting of junction boxes
• Locating utility cables
• Fiber cable blower operation
• Vacuum excavator trailer operations
• Hydroseeder operations

Bonus points if you have

• Class A CDL- Already hold your Class A? Starting pay is $26.65/hour!
• 1 or more years of experience as an underground utility locator, drill locator, or experience operating light equipment
• Utility construction experience!
