What You'll Earn:
Starting Pay: $31/hour
Average Weekly Pay: $1,550 ($80,600 per year)
Average Hours: Work 50-60 hours per week, with no more than 10 hours per day
Home Daily: Enjoy being home every night
Your Schedule:
Monday - Friday: Work 10-hour days starting at 4:30 a.m. and finishing by 3 p.m. (times may vary slightly depending on customer needs).
Every Other Saturday: Work 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (end time subject to customer needs and freight volume).
Flexibility: Your schedule may occasionally change due to port request or rotating schedules.
What You'll Do:
Pre-Start Routine: Begin 30 minutes before port gate times.
Pick Up Containers: Pick up containers at 3 port locations in Charleston, SC.
Deliver to Rail Yards: Drop off containers at 2 rail yards in the Charleston area.
Round Trips: Each round trip is approximately 25.6 miles.
Average 4 Turns per Day: Expect to handle 8 boxes a day, with a mix of full and empty containers.
Requirements:
Class A CDL and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required.
Hazmat and Tanker endorsements must be obtained within 90 days of hire (driver will be reimbursed).
Ability to work with a flexible schedule based on customer needs.

Job Requirements
Must live within a 75-mile radius
1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have Class A CDL with TWIC
Must obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements in 90 days of coming onboard- driver will be reimbursed
No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years
No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)
No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
Essential functions:
Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
Count freight
Complete fuel tickets
Obtain sales leads
Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only)
Perform pre-trip inspections
Drive
Regular predictable attendance
Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle
