We are seeking a qualified and safety-focused CDL Class A Truck Driver / Material Handler to support logistics and field operations under a federal contract in the Washington, DC region.
This role supports mission-critical programs involving the transportation, distribution, and handling of government supplies, equipment, and materials. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in operating 13-speed manual transmission commercial vehicles, as well as experience in warehouse and material handling operations in regulated environments.

About the Position
We are seeking a qualified and safety-focused CDL Class A Truck Driver / Material Handler to support logistics and field operations under a federal contract in the Washington, DC region.
This role supports mission-critical programs involving the transportation, distribution, and handling of government supplies, equipment, and materials. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in operating 13-speed manual transmission commercial vehicles, as well as experience in warehouse and material handling operations in regulated environments.
Location: Beltsville, MD (On-site)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) with 13-speed manual transmission to transport materials, equipment, and supplies
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured, protected, and documented in accordance with agency and DOT requirements
- Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual methods, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or regulated materials
- Maintain accurate records, and delivery documentation
- Support agency warehouse and field operations, including staging, inventory tracking, and material distribution
- Follow all agency site protocols, federal safety standards, and OSHA guidelines
- Coordinate with federal personnel, supervisors, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Assist with general labor and mission support tasks as required
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of vehicles and equipment
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Demonstrated experience operating 13-speed manual transmission trucks
- Minimum 3-5 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation
- Experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse environments
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Conditions of Employment:

- Must pass background investigation prior to hire
- Must maintain valid CDL and medical certification throughout employment
