Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicleDrive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.Transport goods from place of origin to assigned destinationPick-up loads and organize goods in an ordered, logical mannerEnsure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage or damageObtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries with clientsStay on predetermined route and ensure timely deliveriesCommunicate with dispatch as neededConfirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest documentPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripAlways ensure your vehicle is kept cleanNotify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounteredFollow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate timesMaintain detailed driving and delivery logsTrack and report working hoursAdhere to company rules and regulationsObey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditionsComply with ICC and DOT regulationsMake safety a priority at all times

Competencies
