CDL Delivery Driver

Description:

Better Living Inc., a premier independent building supply store and cabinetry design center, is seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented CDL Delivery Driver to join our team at our Troy, VA location. This position is vital for ensuring our customers receive their materials on time and in excellent condition.

Location & Schedule

· Location: 136 Better Living Drive, Troy, VA 22974

· Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

· Overtime: Overtime is available and may be required based on business needs (no cap).

Responsibilities

The CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of building supplies, while representing Better Living Inc. professionally.

Driving & Delivery:

· Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver building supplies to various residential and commercial job sites.

· Perform approximately 2 to 3 delivery trips per day within a 60-mile radius of the Troy location.

· Maintain an excellent driving record and adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations.

· Each day will be different as you will be visiting new job sites.

Loading & Unloading:

· Physically unload materials at the delivery site using a Moffett (general forklift experience preferred, but training may be provided).

· Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. safely.

Customer & Site Service:

· Follow established procedures when making drop-offs at unmanned sites to ensure the client is set up for success and materials are secured appropriately.

· Maintain positive interactions with customers and job site personnel.

Vehicle Maintenance:

· Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure the vehicle is safe for operation. 

Teamwork:

Collaborate effectively with sales, yard, and warehouse teams to coordinate successful and timely deliveries.

• License: Must possess a valid CDL. DOT medical card must be current.
