General Description

The Tack Truck Driver operates a CDL-regulated vehicle that applies specialized emulsions and/or liquid AC to roadways.

Key Duties

- Familiarity with the safe and efficient operation of paving equipment, including but not limited to tack truck

- Knowledge of all USDOT and FMCSA regulations

- Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels for leaks and damage to equipment prior to operation, notifying foreman of any concerns

- Understand and execute paving procedures while following instructions to meet the standards of the project

- Understand and execute different emulsions and/or liquid AC

- Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes

Requirements

- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs

- Valid Class A or B CDL and driving record within MVR policy guidelines

- Valid tanker endorsement on CDL

- Current Medical Examiners Certificate (FMCSR part 391.41)

- Preferred: tack truck experience
