Division: Brannan Sand + Gravel
Position: Class A CDL Tandem Driver - Asphalt Patch Crew
Reports To: BSG Patching Manager
FLSA Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt
Location: Lipan Plant - 5880 Lipan St, Denver, CO 80216
Salary Range: $28.00 - $30.00
Sign on Bonus: $1,500
Position Summary:
This position requires a Class A CDL driver to haul asphalt and asphalt paving equipment from our various jobsites around the metro area with a tandem end dump truck and equipment trailer. Driver will be responsible for safe and efficient loading, securement and unloading of paving equipment. Driver will also assist the patch crew with duties throughout the day and haul waste materials away to recycle facilities. The ideal candidate is safety oriented and has a professional demeanor.

Functional Responsibilities:
- Safe driving habits - Responsible for safely hauling asphalt and aggregate material from/to Brannan's jobsites and facilities
- Utilize defensive driving practices
- Adhere to company policies for personal protective equipment
- Maintains an alert awareness of potential jobsite or plant hazards
- Efficient Delivery Practices - Drivers maintain a sense of urgency throughout the day to safely and efficiently deliver product. The driver is always ready to load at scheduled time, prepared to back to the paver on jobsite, and alerts fellow drivers of accidents on route to jobs
- Truck Operations & Maintenance - Properly maintains equipment by conducting the proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections and mechanical write-ups. Properly operates the truck and other types of equipment according to the manufacturers' recommended guidelines
- Customer Service - Maintains a positive attitude in all interactions with customers. Anticipates and fulfills all customer needs possible, alerting management to potential customer concerns
- Professional Appearance - Maintains trucks in a consistently clean condition. The cab is always clean and well-ordered, and the exterior appearance of the truck is maintained each day
- Operates truck in a manner that ensures compliance with all applicable company, state and federal safety regulations
- Follows required Brannan and DOT reporting procedures. All paperwork should be kept current during the course of the day including timecards with job information and DVIR books. Drivers are responsible to make sure the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance, as well as keeping their personal CDL and medical cards current
- Abides by Brannan's standard operation procedures
- Reports for work punctually at the scheduled time and place
- Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL - with manual certification
- Clean MVR
- Current DOT Medical Card
- At least 1 year verifiable CDL Driving experience
- Must have ability to work days, nights and weekends
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Pushing up to 90 pounds for 5 feet
- Pulling up to 150 pounds for 5 feet
- Lifting up to 20 pounds to waist
- Carrying up to 20 pounds for 30 feet
- Ability to step up 2 steps into and out of truck
