We are seeking a Flatbed Driver for County Materials Corporation in Springfield, IL.

We are seeking a Flatbed Driver for County Materials Corporation in Springfield, IL.
About the position:
- Competitive hourly pay.
- Majority of freight hauled is for our company, minimal wait time.
- Home every night.
- Training in flatbed procedures and oversized loads available.
Job Duties:
- Demonstrate customer service while interfacing with clients.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices.
- Properly secure load prior to transport following DOT regulations.
- Operate tractor trailer combinations.
- Transport freight while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform duties consistent with all safety policies, including utilizing proper PPE.
- Unload transported material utilizing approved methods.
- Ensure cleanliness and good operating condition for assigned tractor.
- Receive work assignments and report back on job completion.
- Use consistent communicate with dispatch.
- Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner.
Work Environment:
- Work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Work near moving machinery and equipment
- Work alongside moving traffic on roads.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting.
- Carrying / Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds.
- Standing / Walking / Climbing.
- Squatting / Crouching / Kneeling / Bending.
- Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Class A CDL prior to hire.
- Minimum of 2 years Class A CDL driving experience required.
- Oversize experience a plus but not required; will train.
