Full Description
Hiring Area: Atlanta, GA
Weekly Pay: $1,300-$1,450
Freight: Mostly no-touch OTR dry van freight
Home Time: Every other weekend with a full 48-hour reset
Consistent miles | Automatic trucks | Paid orientation
Southeast freight continuity and dependable scheduling give this CDL-A truck driver position a steady foundation for consistent miles. Drivers based in Atlanta operate across established interstate freight lanes with dispatch coordinating upcoming assignments ahead of time whenever possible. The focus is on keeping freight moving efficiently while providing drivers with an organized schedule from one trip to the next.
Average haul lengths typically range from 700 to 750 miles. Longer runs combined with consistent customer freight help support productive weekly mileage while limiting unnecessary transitions between shorter loads.
Freight & Mileage
Drivers haul mostly no-touch dry van freight across established interstate lanes. Loads include a combination of drop-and-hook and live freight, with the majority requiring no driver unloading. Regular customer demand helps maintain consistent freight flow throughout each operating cycle.
Equipment Details
Drivers operate 2021 and newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions. Many trucks include APUs, inverters, and refrigerator space for additional comfort during multi-day runs. Equipment is supported through a company maintenance network to help minimize service delays and keep drivers moving.
Home Time & Schedule
The fleet follows a 12-day operating cycle followed by a full 48-hour reset at home every other weekend. Approved drivers may take their assigned truck home during resets or park at a company location if preferred.
Weekly Earnings & Benefits
Drivers typically earn between $1,300 and $1,450 per week depending on experience, miles, and freight flow. Detention pay is available for qualifying delays. After six months, drivers become eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
CDL-A Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
Safe driving record
Ability to run interstate routes
CK Transportation is an Equal Opportunity Employer including disability and veteran status.
