Home Time - Full 48-Hour Reset Every Weekend
Freight - No-Touch Dry Van
Schedule - Monday through Friday Regional Routes
Regional freight demand and route consistency create a dependable workweek for drivers on this Northeast fleet. CK Transportation is hiring a CDL A driver for a regional truck driving position where established freight corridors, planned dispatch, and regular weekend home time provide structure without requiring drivers to sacrifice steady miles.
How the Week Runs
Drivers operate Monday through Friday across established Northeast lanes. Freight moves throughout Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, and surrounding states. Loads are primarily no-touch dry van with frequent drop-and-hook opportunities, helping reduce time spent at customer locations. Dispatch coordinates freight transitions in advance whenever possible so the next move is organized before the current trip is completed.
At the end of the workweek, drivers return home for a full 48-hour weekend reset. Repeat freight patterns also give drivers greater familiarity with the operating area instead of sending them through completely different lanes every week.
Driver Position Details
Assigned Truck & Driver Comfort
This Class A CDL driver position includes an assigned 2019 or newer Freightliner Cascadia with an automatic transmission. Trucks are equipped with APUs, inverters, refrigerators, double bunks, SiriusXM capability, and TV setup options. Regular maintenance helps keep equipment available and reduces preventable downtime during the week.
Compensation and Benefits
Weekly earnings range from $1,350 to $1,550 based on miles and performance. Qualifying drivers have access to a $1,200 guaranteed minimum pay program during slower freight periods. Payroll is processed every Friday. Benefits include health insurance, paid vacation, holiday pay, safety incentives, E-Z Pass, and I-Pass coverage.
Orientation and Experience
Orientation lasts approximately 2.5 days. Hotel accommodations and meals are provided, and drivers receive $500 during orientation.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL. Experience requirements can be met with 3 months OTR in the last year, 6 months OTR or local experience in the last year, or 1 year OTR within the past 3 years.
