Weekly Pay: $1,250-$1,500
Home Time: 48 Hours Every Other Weekend
Freight: No-Touch Dry Van
Running Area: Regional Freight Network
Hiring Area: Shreveport, LA
Experience Required: 3 Months Recent Tractor-Trailer Experience
Dry van route continuity and steady freight volume give CDL A drivers in Shreveport a dependable operation with consistent miles and an organized schedule. Drivers run established regional lanes supported by regular customer freight, helping create a predictable flow from one assignment to the next. With no-touch freight, longer average hauls, and dispatch planning focused on keeping trucks moving, this position offers a straightforward setup for drivers who want reliable weekly earnings and scheduled home time.
Dry Van Freight
Drivers haul no-touch dry van freight through established regional lanes across Louisiana and surrounding states. Freight moves through a consistent customer network that supports regular load availability throughout the year, helping drivers maintain productive mileage without depending on short-term freight surges.
Most loads are drop-and-hook, with some scheduled live unload freight depending on the customer. Average haul lengths are approximately 700 to 750 miles, allowing drivers to spend more time moving between major freight markets and less time dealing with frequent short runs.
Weekly Earnings
Drivers average between $1,250 and $1,500 per week depending on mileage, experience, and overall performance. Consistent freight volume and longer average runs help support dependable weekly earnings.
Qualifying detention compensation is available for eligible customer delays. Additional performance incentives may also be available based on safe driving, reliability, and company requirements.
Route & Schedule
Drivers operate on a structured 12-day schedule followed by 48 hours at home every other weekend. Home time is incorporated into the operating schedule, giving drivers a routine they can plan around from one dispatch cycle to the next.
Dispatch coordinates loads through established freight lanes with an emphasis on route continuity. Whenever possible, upcoming assignments are planned ahead to help reduce extended waiting between loads and avoid unnecessary changes to the driver's schedule.
Truck & Equipment
Drivers operate late-model Freightliner and Kenworth sleeper tractors with automatic transmissions. Trucks include APUs, power inverters, and refrigerator space to provide additional comfort and convenience during longer runs.
Preventive maintenance is scheduled regularly to help minimize equipment-related downtime and keep trucks operating reliably.
Driver Benefits
After meeting eligibility requirements, drivers have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) participation. Rider and pet programs are also available for approved drivers.
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
Acceptable driving and safety record
Reliable work history
Ability to meet DOT and company safety requirements
