Freight: No-Touch Dry Van
Running Area: Regional Freight Network
Hiring Area: Houston, TX
Experience Required: 3 Months Recent Tractor-Trailer Experience
Dispatch consistency and dependable weekly freight give CDL A drivers in Houston a more organized way to keep miles moving. This position operates through established regional lanes supported by steady customer demand and planned load coordination. The focus is on keeping the operation straightforward from one dispatch cycle to the next without unnecessary changes that can interrupt the week.
Regional Freight
Drivers haul dry van freight through established lanes across Texas and surrounding regional markets. Freight volume remains consistent through a large customer network, helping provide steady load availability throughout the year.
The majority of freight is no-touch and includes a combination of drop-and-hook loads and scheduled live unloads. Average haul lengths are approximately 700 to 750 miles, giving drivers longer runs that can help reduce frequent stops while supporting productive weekly mileage.
Weekly Pay
Drivers average between $1,250 and $1,500 per week based on mileage, experience, and overall performance. Steady freight availability helps support consistent weekly earnings without relying entirely on seasonal increases in freight volume.
Qualifying detention compensation is available when drivers experience eligible customer delays. Performance incentives may also be available for drivers who maintain safe and dependable service.
Dispatch & Scheduling
Drivers operate on a structured 12-day schedule followed by a guaranteed 48-hour reset every other weekend. Dispatch coordinates freight around this schedule to provide a more predictable routine and help drivers maintain dependable home time.
Load planning is handled with an emphasis on continuity between assignments. When possible, upcoming freight is coordinated in advance to reduce extended downtime and keep drivers moving from one load to the next.
Truck & Equipment
Drivers operate late-model Freightliner and Kenworth sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions. Equipment includes APUs, power inverters, and refrigerator space to provide additional comfort during time on the road.
Preventive maintenance is scheduled regularly to help reduce equipment-related downtime and maintain reliable operation.
Benefits
After meeting eligibility requirements, drivers have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) participation. Rider and pet programs are available for approved drivers.
