Full Description

CDL A Truck Driver
Columbus, OH 43004

Weekly Pay - $1,250 to $1,450
Home Every Weekend - Northeast Regional Freight - No-Touch Dry Van

CK Transportation is hiring a CDL A driver for a Northeast regional position running out of Columbus. This lane is built for drivers who want steady weekly pay, a predictable Monday-Friday schedule, and equipment that stays ready to run. Freight moves through established Midwest and Northeast corridors with dispatch planned ahead so a CDL-A truck driver can keep miles consistent without last-minute changes.

This position offers a stable weekly income, scheduled weekend home time, and assigned late-model equipment. Drivers who prefer routine over guesswork tend to do well in this fleet.

Driver Snapshot
  • Weekly Pay - $1,250 to $1,450
  • $1,200 weekly pay protection when eligible
  • Home every weekend with 48-hour reset
  • Northeast regional dry van freight
  • 2019 or newer Freightliner Cascadia

Pay is processed every Friday, and income stays consistent because the freight lanes stay consistent. Dispatch builds the week ahead of time so a Class A CDL driver knows when the run starts, when the reset happens, and when the truck is headed back toward home.

How the Route Runs

This CDL A driver position operates Monday through Friday across Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and surrounding Northeast states. Freight is primarily drop-and-hook dry van with minimal delays at shipping locations. Weekend home time is part of the plan, not something drivers have to ask for at the end of the week.

Equipment & Orientation

Drivers are assigned 2019 or newer Freightliner Cascadia tractors with automatic transmission, APUs, inverters, refrigerator, and double bunk configuration. Trucks are maintained on a scheduled service cycle to reduce downtime and keep drivers moving.

Orientation lasts about 2-3 days. Hotel and meals are provided, and orientation pay is included with the first paycheck. Drivers leave orientation knowing their dispatcher, their lanes, and their weekly schedule.
