CDL A Truck Driver - Dry Van OTR
Hiring Area: Charleston, SC
Steady interstate freight | Weekly earnings $1,300-$1,500
Home every other weekend | Automatic trucks | No-touch loads
Freight moves steadily through established interstate lanes that remain active throughout the year, helping drivers maintain dependable miles without frequent route changes. This fleet is built for drivers who value organized dispatch, reliable income, and a schedule that stays consistent from week to week.
Truck & Equipment
2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors
Automatic transmissions
APUs, inverters, and refrigerators in most units
Maintenance handled through company shop network
Drivers are assigned equipment built for longer trips and maintained regularly to help minimize service interruptions and reduce downtime.
What You'll Be Running
Dry van freight across multi-state routes
Majority no-touch loads
Average haul lengths around 700-750 miles
Combination of drop-and-hook and live loads
Consistent customer demand helps maintain steady movement and supports reliable weekly mileage throughout the year.

Schedule Details
Drivers generally stay out for 12 days followed by a full 48-hour reset at home every other weekend. Loads are commonly planned in advance so drivers know their next move before finishing the current run. This helps reduce downtime and keeps each cycle organized.
Compensation
Most drivers in this position earn between $1,300 and $1,500 weekly depending on miles and experience. Detention pay is available for qualifying delays, helping protect income when schedules are impacted. Pay is processed on a dependable weekly schedule.
