CDL A Truck Driver - OTR Dry Van Fleet
Hiring Area: Chicago, IL
Steady miles on active regional lanes | Home every other weekend
$1,300-$1,500 weekly | No-touch freight | Automatic trucks
Regional lanes allow drivers in this fleet to keep a predictable routine while still building strong weekly mileage. Freight stays active throughout the year, and dispatch planning helps keep loads organized ahead of time so drivers spend less time waiting between trips. This position is built for drivers who want stable income and dependable home time.
Equipment Details
2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors
Automatic transmissions
APUs, inverters, and refrigerators in most units
Maintenance handled through company shop network
Assigned equipment is set up for over-the-road comfort and maintained on a regular schedule to help reduce downtime and keep trucks moving consistently.
Run Structure
Drivers typically stay out for 12 days followed by a full 48-hour reset at home every other weekend. Preplanned loads help keep schedules steady and reduce downtime between assignments. This setup supports a routine drivers can rely on from week to week.
Freight Flow
Dry van freight across multi-state lanes
Mostly no-touch loads
Average haul length around 700-750 miles
Mix of drop-and-hook and live loads
Consistent customer freight helps drivers maintain steady mileage instead of dealing with slow weeks or frequent route changes.
Pay Snapshot
$1,300-$1,500 weekly depending on miles and experience
