CDL A Truck Driver - OTR Dry Van
Hiring Area: Des Moines, IA
Earn $1,300-$1,450 weekly running steady interstate freight with home time every other weekend.
Earnings & Benefits
Weekly earnings in this position are built around consistent miles rather than unpredictable dispatch. Most drivers fall within the $1,300 to $1,450 range depending on experience, with detention pay available for qualifying delays. After six months, full benefits become available, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
Freight Network
This fleet operates across established interstate lanes where freight stays active throughout the year. Drivers are not constantly shifting between unfamiliar routes, which allows for a more predictable workflow and fewer gaps between loads. Trips are typically planned ahead of time so drivers can move from one assignment to the next without waiting on last-minute updates.
Schedule Flow
The schedule follows a 12-day run with a guaranteed 48-hour reset at home every other weekend. This setup helps drivers maintain a steady routine while still getting consistent time off built into each cycle.
Equipment Assigned
Drivers operate 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors equipped with automatic transmission. Most trucks include APUs, inverters, and refrigerator space for comfort during longer runs. Equipment is maintained through a company-supported network designed to reduce downtime and keep trucks road-ready.
Load Details
Freight consists of dry van loads moving across multi-state routes, with most shipments being no-touch. A mix of drop-and-hook and live loads helps maintain steady movement, while average haul lengths support consistent weekly mileage.
Driver Support
Orientation is paid, including travel, lodging, and meals. Drivers may take equipment home during resets when approved or park at a company location if preferred. Rider and pet policies are available for qualified drivers, and support staff remains accessible throughout each trip.

Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
Safe driving record
