CDL A Truck Driver - Dry Van OTR
Hiring Area: Memphis, TN
Home every other weekend
Steady no-touch dry van freight
Automatic trucks with consistent miles
$1,300-$1,450 weekly based on miles and experience
Freight in this operation runs through established interstate lanes that remain active throughout the year, allowing drivers to stay productive without frequent route changes. Loads are typically planned in advance, helping drivers move directly into their next assignment instead of waiting between runs. This structure supports a more consistent workflow and helps maintain steady weekly mileage.
The schedule follows a 12-day cycle with a full 48-hour reset at home every other weekend. Trips are generally assigned ahead of time, which allows drivers to stay on a predictable routine instead of dealing with last-minute dispatch changes. This setup works well for drivers who want to stay productive while still having dependable home time built into each cycle.
Drivers operate 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors equipped with automatic transmission. Most units include APUs, inverters, and refrigerator space to support comfort during longer runs. Equipment is maintained through a company-supported network designed to reduce downtime and keep trucks operating consistently.
Freight consists primarily of dry van loads across multi-state routes, with most shipments being no-touch. A mix of drop-and-hook and live loads keeps movement steady while haul lengths are structured to support consistent weekly miles. Consistent customer freight helps maintain reliable load volume throughout the week.
After six months, drivers are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Paid orientation includes travel, lodging, and meals, and rider and pet policies are available for qualified drivers.
