CDL A Truck Driver - OTR Dry Van
Hiring Area: Wilmington, NC
Average weekly pay $1,300-$1,450 with home time every other weekend
No-touch freight moving on consistent interstate lanes
Regional lanes allow drivers in this fleet to stay productive without constantly shifting routes or sitting between loads. Freight moves on repeat interstate patterns that help keep weekly mileage steady while still giving drivers predictable time at home. With only three months of experience required, this position is built for drivers who want reliable pay, newer equipment, and a schedule that stays organized.
Schedule Flow
Drivers typically run 12-day cycles followed by a full 48-hour reset every other weekend. Dispatch planning ensures loads are lined up ahead of time so drivers know their next move before finishing the current trip. This helps reduce downtime and keeps weeks structured.
Load Overview
Dry van freight across multi-state routes with most loads being no-touch.
Average haul length runs around 700-750 miles.
Mix of drop-and-hook and live loads depending on customer needs.

Pay varies by miles and experience, but most drivers earn between $1,300 and $1,450 per week. Detention pay is provided for qualifying delays. After six months, drivers become eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL with a safe driving record. Minimum of 3 months recent tractor-trailer experience required. Ability to run interstate routes and meet DOT safety standards.
