The Hazmat Driver's are responsible for the safely and efficiently transport products. If you enjoy working outdoors, physical activity, problem solving, and a company that promotes a strong safety culture, this opportunity is for you! Paying $32.00 - $36.00 USD per hour. Starting rate may be higher based on experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport products to and from locations year-round -We are hiring for a local and over the road position.
- Partner with dispatch in safely transporting both hazmat and non-hazmat liquid and dry freight materials.
- Assist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary to meet customer expectations.
- Report maintenance issues to Dispatch.
- Driving between 10 to 12 hours per day with flexible start and end times.
- Take an active role in our safety program including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and others.
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- Work Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday or Sunday as needed.
- Safety consciousness and understanding of safe work practices for operating in different environments.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Successfully pass road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle.
- Qualify for a Passport and TWIC card.
- Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift.
- Lift up to 50 pounds while connecting hoses to trailers.
- Drive and work in adverse weather conditions.
- Wear a chemical suit and other PPE while unloading hazardous materials in all types of weather.
- Mechanically inclined, working with liquids and air pressures.
Education & Experience
- Valid CDL-A license.
- 2 years of driving experience utilizing Hazmat & Tanker Endorsement required.
- Stable work history, please include a 10-year work history on the application.
Paying $32.00 - $36.00 USD per hour. Starting rate may be higher based on experience.
