Job Description
The Cooler Service Technician's primary function is to perform mechanical services on cold drink equipment at customer locations within a designated territory or region.
What will your day look like:
- Diagnose, repair, and install fountain machines, glass door coolers, and vending machines in an orderly sequence.
- Maneuver equipment in order to perform all mechanical services on cold drink equipment including preventative maintenance.
- Keep all refrigeration equipment in proper operating condition.
- Prepare equipment in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure proper functionality (clean, test, and repair before and after installation) of machines for the consumer to use.
- Maintain accurate parts inventory in order to manage, document, stock, and change parts for quality assurance and excellent customer care.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Maintain positive customer relationships.
- Communicate timely to the supervisor/account manager and/or leadership any account issues or potential opportunities.
- Professionally represent the company by following all policies and procedures.
- Responsible for operating company vehicle in a safe and lawful manner.
What will you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of general technical experience.
- Plumbing and electro/mechanical experience.
- Prior diagnostic troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated mechanical, technical, and electrical aptitude.
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record are required.
- Work with minimal supervision; be a self-starter, team player and have the motivation to learn.
- Flexible to work a schedule that may include daily overtime, holidays, evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification.
- 1 year of refrigeration/HVAC experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge.
