AMBASSADORS
The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for Ambassadors in the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department. This position will provide excellent customer service by transporting and/or directing pedestrians while creating a positive experience for the citizens and visitors of Greer.
Responsibilities: Provides electric vehicle shuttle service to and from areas within Downtown Greer; Engages pedestrians and vehicle passengers in a friendly manner. Provides directions, information, and recommendations regarding available services and businesses within Downtown Greer. Must be able to communicate knowledge of Downtown Greer with passengers while operating electric vehicles; Serves the Downtown Greer community by creating a positive experience for all; Ensures that passenger travel is safe and timely; Performs before/during/after operator level operations and safety equipment checks/inspections; Provides safe driving while obeying all DOT traffic laws and adhering to safety and security rules and regulations applicable to the transportable of passengers including the general public, persons with disabilities, and the elderly; Must learn all shuttle routes, construction schedules, streets, parking lots, and electric vehicle stops; Documents and reports necessary repairs and maintenance work; Assists passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles in a safe manner.
Job requirements: Requires a high school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in general administration and excellent customer service skills; or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must maintain professional appearance and professionalism at all times. Must possess a valid state issued driver's license with exemplary driving record. A CDL is not required for this position.
Hours: Hours will be 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and/or 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Tuesday - Saturday. 10:30 am - 3:00 pm on Sunday. Up to 20 hours per week.
Salary: $15.26 hour.
