CITY OF MARTINSBURG
DRIVER II - PUBLIC WORKS
The City of Martinsburg is seeking qualified applicants for Driver II positions in the City's Sanitation Department.
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required. Drives and operates large sanitation trucks, tandem axle dump trucks and tractor trailer trucks. Operates snow plows, blowers and mowers. Operates street sweeper, tractors and fork lifts.
Loads and unloads various construction and maintenance materials. Performs minor equipment maintenance. Assists in construction and maintenance projects, assists with street paving. Operates bucket high lift truck in maintenance of street lights, traffic lights and tree trimming/pruning. Position will be involved in street operations as assigned.
A valid driver's license with CDL is required for the position with maintenance of the license and certification mandatory to remain in this position. Applicants must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including the ability to work outside, regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and regularly perform physical labor.
