Maintenance Technician V - Snow Removal (Seasonal)

The City of South Lake Tahoe is hiring for 2025-26 Seasonal Snowplow Operators - MT V, Step 5 level. This is an exceptional opportunity to earn a high hourly salary, plus overtime.

There are multiple openings for snowplow operators with a Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class A or B. Employment will begin October 27, 2025, to March 31, 2026 (tentative). 

CDL operators will earn $39.77 per hour, plus overtime pay for work over 40 hours per week ($59.65 per hour) and twice the hourly rate ($79.55) for work during holidays. In addition, for any On-Call Duty (to be ready to report to work), the employee can earn $13.22 per hour.

A Commercial Diver's License (CDL) is required for this position.

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment; incumbents may be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends. Incumbents may also be called in for local emergencies at irregular hours.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
