Truck Driver (CDL A) (Oriskany, NY)

Must have a CDL Class A, in good standing with Department of Motor Vehicles, to operate the vehicles that the company uses. Should be capable of demonstrating the ability and skill to perform a variety of tasks necessary for the preparation for parts prior to and subsequent to heat-treating for delivery to and from customers. This may include the ability to maneuver the parts via forklift, stage and pack the parts in a manner for the efficient delivery and pick-up. Must demonstrate that they are a self-starter, and a team oriented individual who will have direct contact with our customers. May occasionally have an additional skill-set, such as being capable of making minor repairs to the vehicle itself or specialize and be capable of operating a particular furnace such as an induction operator or vacuum furnace.

$22-$25.00 per hour

• CDL-A with appropriate driving record
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write/fill-in routine deliver/pick-up reports and maintain the necessary state truck logs. Must also possess the ability to speak and write effectively simple sentences in the normal word order.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
