Truck Driver-Local-Class A CDL--Part-time Weekends

D.L. George & Sons Transportation Company is seeking skilled Part-time Weekend Class A CDL Truck Drivers to deliver to our customers in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate a tractor trailer to pick up and deliver dry bulk materials
• Follow a predetermined schedule of pick up and delivery; maintain short haul (exempt) logs. No ELD required!
• Ability to maneuver and back truck in a safe manner
• Ability to operate dump valves
• Ability to complete required documentation
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, including lights, brakes, fuel, oil and coolant, raising hood, climb to clean windshield and mirrors
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

• Meet Department of Transportation medical, drug and alcohol qualifications
• Operation of vehicle 10-12 hours per day depending on schedule
• Cranking dolly legs on trailers when hooking up and dropping
• Open and close valves to handle material
• Climb 3 feet with steps to hook airlines
• May be required to work in adverse weather

• Class A CDL
• 21 years old-minimum
• DMV records 3 years back

• 1 year preferred
• Manual Transmission
