    Location: San Bernardino, CA
    Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly

    Position Summary

    Denali is seeking a dependable Class A CDL Tanker Driver to safely transport liquid and organic waste materials throughout Southern California. Drivers will operate tanker trucks and combination vehicles while providing exceptional customer service, maintaining DOT compliance, and supporting our mission of environmental sustainability.

    This position offers daily home time with regional routes and requires flexibility to meet seasonal operational demands.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tanker trucks and combination vehicles with 30-45' open-top dump trailers.

    Transport organic waste and wastewater materials throughout an assigned regional service area.

    Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment.

    Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs using hand tools when necessary.

    Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of assigned vehicles and equipment.

    Accurately complete electronic DOT logs using the company's Electronic Logging Device (ELD).

    Complete and submit service tickets, contamination reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation.

    Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatch, vendors, and operations personnel.

    Report all accidents, incidents, equipment damage, and injuries immediately.

    Attend weekly safety meetings, driver training, and company briefings.

    Utilize company-issued mobile devices and basic computer applications for communication, training, and expense reporting.

    Follow all DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, environmental, and company safety regulations.

    Required Qualifications

    Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

    Tanker Endorsement required

    Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience

    Current DOT Medical Card

    Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

    Clean PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program)
    • Must successfully pass:
    • DOT Road Test
    • Pre-employment Drug Screen
    • Background Check
    • Must be at least:
    • 23 years old with two years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, OR
    • 21 years old with one year of experience if a graduate of an accredited truck driving school or possessing qualifying military driving experience.

    Stable employment history

    Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to comply with DOT regulations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Vacuum tankers and pump trucks

    Experience operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles

    Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (PeopleNet or similar)

    Hydraulic equipment experience

    Basic mechanical aptitude

    Strong customer service and communication skills

    Excellent time management and route planning abilities

    Physical Requirements

    Frequently lift, push, pull, and move up to 70 pounds

    Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, climb, and reach overhead throughout the workday

    Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

    Tolerate odors associated with food waste and agricultural materials

    Safely enter and exit commercial vehicles multiple times daily
