$10,000 Sign-On Bonus
The CDL Class A Line Haul Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and compliant transportation of EMS aluminum products between designated facilities. This is an overnight, local line-haul position involving shuttle, drop-and-hook, and no-touch freight operations. Drivers operate company equipment in accordance with DOT regulations, company policies, and industry-best safety practices while maintaining excellent equipment care and professionalism.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:
• Operate company-owned trucks on public roads to transport EMS materials between facilities
• Operate vehicles in compliance with all local, state, federal (DOT), and company safety regulations
• Safely maneuver trucks in tight spaces, including narrow passageways, loading docks, and adverse weather conditions
• Complete driver logbooks and hours-of-service documentation in accordance with DOT regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operating condition of vehicle and equipment
• Verify that loads are properly secured and safe for transport
• Safely load and unload cargo as required (no-touch freight where applicable)
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling material
• Maintain company vehicles in a clean, orderly, and safe condition
• Report mechanical or safety issues promptly to management
• Represent EMS professionally at all pickups, deliveries, and customer locations

Education
• High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience/Skills/Abilities Required
• Valid CDL Class A driver's license
• Minimum preferred experience: 3 years operating a 53-foot tractor-trailer
• Clean MVR with no more than one major violation within the past 5 years
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in varying traffic, weather, and road conditions, including night and overnight driving
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential safety or mechanical issues
• Strong communication skills to interact with dispatch, supervisors, and operations personnel
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records
Work Environment/Physical Demands
• Most of your time will be spent driving and loading/unloading goods and materials
• Requires significant, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
• The job typically requires 50% driving, 30% walking, and 20% standing
• May be required to work in a variety of weather conditions
