Full Description

Dedicated CDL-A Truck Driver Semi-Local

Evening Semi-Local | $1,275 to $1,475 per week
No-touch dry van | 5-day schedule
Hiring Area: Savannah, GA 31401

A CDL A driver in this role runs an evening-based semi-local operation connecting Georgia and South Carolina freight points. The position is built around repeat travel between Rincon and Charleston, allowing a CDL-A truck driver to work within a defined corridor while maintaining regular time at home.

Equipment Readiness

Assigned equipment includes International ProStar tractors with automatic transmission, onboard power systems, and idle-reduction capability. Units are maintained within a controlled lifecycle to support reliability and consistent performance across daily runs.

Dry van trailers are used for general freight, keeping the day-to-day focus on driving rather than load handling.

Run Timing & Weekly Flow

Evening departures begin between late afternoon and mid-evening, aligning each trip with a repeatable overnight driving window. A CDL A driver works a five-day cycle with two non-consecutive days off during the week.

The route structure allows a Class A CDL driver to move between the same facilities regularly, building familiarity with timing, entry points, and delivery expectations. Travel distances remain within a semi-local range, keeping runs manageable while still supporting full weekly mileage.

Earnings Breakdown (Labeled)

Mileage Rate: $0.77 per mile
Weekly Income: $1,275 to $1,475 based on miles and activity
Weekend Pay: $75 per day

Driver-Focused Benefits

Medical, dental, and vision coverage begin after 60 days
401(k) with company match up to 4% after 30 days
Annual paid time off program
Optional per diem structure available

Passenger policy allows riders age 12+
Pet policy allows one companion animal

What This Role Feels Like

A CDL A driver in this position works within a repeating nightly cycle that limits long-distance variability. Instead of adjusting to new lanes each week, a Class A CDL driver builds familiarity with the same travel pattern, helping reduce uncertainty and improve overall trip efficiency.

The combination of defined routes, evening scheduling, and close-range operations supports a work pattern that balances road time with consistent access to home.

Requirements
• Valid Class A CDL
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Minimum 6 months recent tractor-trailer experience
