Full Description

CDL-A Truck Driver | Chicago, IL 60601
$1,300 to $1,500 per week
Regional freight network - no-touch loads

Freight movement in this position is built around steady transitions instead of long wait times at shippers or receivers. A CDL A truck driver operates within a system where loads are preplanned to keep each run progressing, helping reduce downtime and maintain consistent weekly output.

How Freight Moves
This role covers Midwest and East Coast lanes with a combination of dry van and reefer freight. Dispatch timing is coordinated to keep a CDL-A truck driver advancing from one stop to the next with minimal disruption, supporting reliable miles and a predictable weekly rhythm.

At-a-Glance Details
• Pay Range - $1,300 to $1,500 weekly with consistent miles supporting earnings
• Freight Type - No-touch, mixed dry van and reefer loads across multiple lanes
• Weekly Miles - 2,500 to 3,000 depending on route flow and dispatch timing
• Operating Area - Midwest and Eastern regional freight network
• Time Off - Flexible scheduling structure based on driver preference

Truck & Setup
Drivers are assigned late-model Kenworth T680 equipment (4 years or newer), maintained for reliability and comfort. Trucks include automatic transmissions, APUs, and inverter systems to support the day-to-day experience on the road and reduce fatigue during longer runs.

Pay Structure & Progression
Earnings are supported by consistent freight demand and steady mileage throughout the week. Drivers are eligible for periodic pay increases based on time with the company, allowing income to grow while maintaining a stable route structure.

Orientation & Benefits Overview
Paid orientation with travel and hotel accommodations provided
Structured onboarding process before first dispatch assignment
Medical, life coverage, and paid time off included for full-time drivers

Scheduling Approach
Home time is adaptable depending on how a driver prefers to run. Options include taking shorter breaks throughout the month or staying out longer and scheduling extended time off when needed.

Requirements
Valid Class A CDL required
Minimum 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
