Job Title: CDL A Truck Driver Located In Atlanta, Georgia
Job Overview: As a CDL A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various routes in a safe and timely manner. You will operate large commercial vehicles such as semi-trucks, 18-wheelers, or flatbeds, ensuring compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. The role may involve long hours on the road, both local and over-the-road (OTR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate vehicles requiring a CDL A license (semi-truck, tractor-trailer, etc.).
- Route Management: Plan and follow efficient routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company guidelines.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload freight, (no touch freight) secure the cargo, and ensure proper weight distribution.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working order, and report any mechanical issues.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all state and federal transportation regulations, including those related to safety, inspections, and hours of service.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients and customers, ensuring goods are delivered as per their requirements and maintaining a professional image.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hours worked, mileage, deliveries, and other required paperwork.
Qualifications:
- License: Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Experience: Prior 2 years experience driving commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record, is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to drive long hours.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, and time-management skills.
- Endurance: Ability to stay focused and alert during long hours of driving, often over long distances or in varying weather conditions.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Desired Skills:
- Safety Focus: Knowledge of safety protocols and defensive driving techniques.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage different types of cargo and delivery situations.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact politely with customers and address issues professionally.
Work Environment:

Pay:
