What You'll Do
As a CDL A Truck Driver, you'll safely transport donated goods and materials between Goodwill locations while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Daily Responsibilities
- Drive tractor-trailers between donation centers, retail stores, warehouses, and program locations
- Transport donated items and salvage materials throughout Central Ohio
- Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries safely and efficiently
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with logistics team members regarding route updates and delivery status
- Conduct required vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain delivery documentation and required records
- Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License
- Minimum one (1) year of commercial driving experience
- Experience operating manual transmission (stick shift) trucks
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a road test
- Safe driving record with fewer than six (6) points on license
- Ability to meet DOT requirements and work safely in a transportation environment

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle
- Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and handling materials
- Ability to safely enter and exit commercial vehicles throughout the workday
Work Environment
This position regularly involves:
- Operating commercial vehicles in varying traffic conditions
- Exposure to changing weather conditions
- Working around loading docks, warehouses, and retail locations
- Exposure to mechanical equipment, vehicle exhaust, and moderate to loud noise levels
