GovFirst is seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL Class B Drivers to support on-call transportation and operational needs in Edinburg, VA. This role is ideal for professional drivers who are flexible, dependable, and available to respond to short-notice assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CDL Class B vehicles safely and in compliance with all DOT, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform on-call driving assignments for transportation, delivery, and operational support services.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating condition.
- Transport equipment, materials, or personnel as assigned.
- Maintain accurate logs, trip records, and required documentation.
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, and instructions from dispatch or project management.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and traffic laws at all times.
- Respond to short-notice or emergency driving assignments as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or project management.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class B license required.
- Clean driving record with ability to pass DMV motor vehicle records check.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Strong reliability and willingness to work on-call and flexible schedules.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Professional and safety-conscious driving behavior.
- Prior commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience with on-call, dispatch, or logistics operations is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- U.S. Citizenship.
