What You'll Do
- Operate a CDL B rear-load garbage truck on assigned residential collection routes.
- Pull and position rolling carts for collection using a semi-automated lift system
- Operate hydraulic controls to safely empty carts and containers into the truck
- Exit the truck frequently to collect additional waste, recycling and bulk items
- Ride safely on the rear step between collection points as required
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Use in-truck technology (tablet) for route management and communication
- Haul collected materials to disposal and recycling facilities
- Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations
- Interact professionally with customers and the public
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required
- Good driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment and random drug screen (including marijuana)
Minimum one year of driving experience preferred
- Waste industry or rear-load collection experience preferred
