Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver - Lancaster / Ayer, MA

If you want local runs that keep you out of New York City traffic and have you sleeping in your own bed every single day, this dedicated intermodal gig out of the Lancaster and Ayer, MA area is worth a close look. Solid weekly cash, a hefty sign-on bonus, and steady Monday through Friday shifts.

Pay & Earnings

Pull in an average of $1,673 weekly, clearing $87,000 to $95,000 a year.
Strong pay layout: $0.42 to $0.47 CPM, $40 per drop-and-hook, and $60 stop pay, stacked with extra accessorials for rail delays, hazmat loads ($40), and driver unloads.

Schedule & Routes

Shift Options:
- Shift 1: Monday through Friday with 14:00 to 17:00 start times.
- Shift 2: Friday through Tuesday or Saturday through Wednesday with 05:00 to 06:00 start times.
Work Hours: 10 to 12-hour shifts (occasional shift flexibility as needed; your final schedule is confirmed directly on your welcome call).
Home Time: Home daily (trucks stay at the Lancaster, MA yard for time off).
Operating Area: Local container runs within a 250-mile radius of the Ayer ramp (North of Worcester, MA) with no NYC operations.

Equipment

Day cabs pulling 53-foot box trailers (this is a 24/7 operation where the truck is shared with another driver; no riders permitted).

Eligibility Criteria

Valid Class A CDL and at least 22 years old.
Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer seat time within the last 3 years.
Uniforms required; having a bit of rail yard experience under your belt is definitely preferred.
Mandatory pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol screening.
