Full Description
Yard Hostler & Local Driver | $28/Hr | Weekends Off | Blue Springs, MO Area
At a glance: $28/hr, home every night, weekends off, no-touch freight.
Here's what a day on this job looks like.
You pick your shift: mornings run 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., evenings run 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. You hop in your spotter unit and start moving trailers around the yard for a dedicated customer. Between yard moves, you run local loads. The freight is all no-touch, so your job is driving and positioning trailers, not unloading them. When your shift ends, you're home.
Weekends are usually yours, and holidays are rarely worked unless customer freight demands it. Hours flex a little between peak and non-peak seasons, so expect some adjustment during the busy stretches.
On pay, you earn $28.00 an hour, with hours over 40 paid at straight time. Most drivers take home $1,000 to $1,200 a week, which is roughly $52,000 to $62,400 a year.
Can you say yes to these?
- 6 months of OTR experience after training within the last 12 months, or 12 months of experience in the past 5 years
- You live within 40 miles of the hub
- You can pass urine and hair follicle drug screening
Background details come up later in the process, so there's no long paperwork upfront.
Benefits include paid time off, a 401(k), and vision and dental coverage.
If a steady shift and your weekends back sounds good, apply today.
